Science and Politics

I just read an interesting article on the presidential debates that have been going on and the topics they focus on or do not focus on. I too believe that a candidates views on science and technology need to be known. There needs to be more focus on this and related topics in these debates. The future of the USA heavily depends on the pursuit of science and the development of new technologies, and I think a candidates stance on these matters should weigh heavily on his/her selection.

When is your spring break?

See: http://sxsw.com/

You don't have to register for it - just because it is happening there are TONS of other free (cheap) events happening around town the same time.

And you have a free, central place to stay. (our house is 2 blocks from http://www.continentalclub.com/Austin.html).
