Got To Love Us Limeys!

A British team have just broken the international land speed record for a deisel powered vehicle. They averaged a speed of 350 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats beating the record by about 90 mph and the vehicle didn't even use its sixth gear!

Loving Neighbors

This is hilarious! That's the best cactus I've seen recently. Some people are always going to be whiners no matter what, and this is a creative and awesome way of dealing with them. Don't you feel the harmony in the world?

Very Poor Taste!

The name of this restaurant in India is very ignorant! The owner states that he wanted to make the restaurant stand out from others. He has succeeded in doing this through shock value, and at the cost of hurting the population of people who abhor this evil man. This is an example of very poor taste, and even less creativity.

The US is not evolving!

Look at this communication in Science. I knew the US had an anti-evolution viewpoint, but I did not realize how pronounced it was. Below is the extracted figure from this study comparing several countries and their public viewpoints on evolution. Where in the world is the US?

Humor - Creationism

This is pretty funny. Ricky Gervais on the book of Genesis....

Beware of Aug. 22

The insanity of religions and their extremists, case in point the Iranian president. Mr. Lewis makes some interesting points on dealing with these types of people.

Evolution -vs- Intelligent Design

It seems, for now, that the battle over teaching intelligent design (ID) in science classes in Kansas schools is beginning to favor evolutionists' stance now that the elections for the state's Board of Education are over. Keeping ID out of the curriculum of science classes is essential for maintaining the foundations of science.

Suri Cruise

It's really unfortunate, but I already can't stand Suri Cruise (daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes) . I haven't even seen pictures of this baby yet, and I can't stand to hear her name. The tabloids need to get control of themselves! This poor girl is not even one year old, and she has already been exploited beyond belief!

Wow!!!

I want this car!

The Moon's a little oblong.

Did you know the moon is not spherical? It is a slightly flattened sphere, and how this came to be has been a puzzle scientists have been trying to answer for about 200 years. A lab at MIT has come up with a model that seems to answer this question.

Do you here the screaming of the lambs, Clarice?

This patent is quite funny in a sadistic sort of way.

W.T.F.?!?!

What the hell is going on in the world these days? From the mess of the War in Iraq and the Israel-Lebanon Conflict to these crazy-ass evangelical christians who think the End of Days is upon us; our world is discombobulated and a fair amount of its population seem to have lost their direction and sense of reality. One person in particular comes to mind, President Bush. His administration's hypocritical stance on the Israel-Lebanon Conflict is a perfect example of how warped our reality is becoming. Don't get me wrong, I really would like to see a quick, peaceful end to the Israel-Lebanon Conflict as well as the Iraq War, but how can the United States government support such a stance when we are involved in a simalar, adjacent conflict in Iraq? Maybe Bush has come to believe Armageddon is at our front door, because his government has no direction anymore and it could really use a straight jacket.
